If you stay onsite, I know that parking at the resort is free and they offer transportation to the parks. However, if you are staying onsite and choose to drive to the parks instead of using the bus/monorail, do you still park for free at the parks? PLMK. Thanks!

edit: one more quick question, are there any resort fees or hidden fees or anything besides the tax?

It's easier for the CMs at the parking entrance if you have your resort parking permit on the dash on the driver's side. They'll glance at the dates and wave you on.

The reflection of the parking permit in the windshield annoys me, so I keep mine in the glove compartment unless I need it for park parking (looks strange!) or at the resort. I also don't like to advertise that I'm staying at WDW when I'm off property.

And be sure to keep the parking permit visible when parked at your resort. Parking is by permit only (except in designated areas) and your vehicle could be towed.

The only sort of hidden fee I can think of is valet parking. If you are staying at a deluxe resort, they charge you an extra per day fee for this. If you don't want to pay this (and we don't), just tell the parking person that you want to self park.

I think I read somewhere that the Swan and the Dolphin have some kind of resort fee of either $10 or $15 per night, that automatically gets added on. Does anyone know for sure if they still have this?

Swan/Dolphin do have a $10 resort fee. It does NOT cover valet parking.

What if you are staying off site, paying for parkingleave then return to a different park during the day?? Is the parking fee you pay good for the day at all of the parks??

It is at the four major parks (not sure about the water parks--I've never gone there!). You'll need to present your parking ticket at the parking entrance booth at each park (or returning park).

This also applies to locker fees, if you use the lockers. You'll have to pay the refundable key deposit at each park, but the locker rental is free when you present your receipt from the same day.

Just learned about that a month or so ago! :)

Regarding the Swan/Dolphin, keep in mind that while they are on Disney property, they are not Disney resorts and do not provide for free parking at the parks or other resorts. However, Epcot and MGM are accessible by water taxi or by walking.
