Parking Question

We will be spending the afternoon at Epcot and then going on an Illuminations cruise in the evening. If we park our car in the Epcot parking area, how do we get back to our car after the cruise, because Epcot will be closed by then. Also do they lock the parks car parks at a certain time. All help greatfully received.

Depending on where you park, walk. Also, the trams will be running for some time after EPCOT closes so I wouldn't worry about it.

No, the parking lots aren't "locked"...otherwise, how would the stragglers who leave the parks long after the parks officially are closed get out?

As far as what to do after the cruise...we did one from the YC several years ago when we were staying at the Polynesian. We asked the captain if we could possibly be dropped at the Intnl Gateway...not a problem. In fact a few others hopped off with us. We then walked through the turnstyles and back to the front of Epcot and got the monorail back. Although the park is 'technically' closed, they do allow you to reenter the park in order to get to your car. You will find CM's scattered around making sure that people are headed out of the park.
