Parking question

Hi all

Quick question regarding DVC parking at other resorts. We'll be staying at the BWV. Can we park at a MK resort lot without question? The afternoon of MVMCP we'd like to park our car at the Contemporary then take the resorts monorail to the Poly and GF to see the decorations, grab a bite to eat, then enter the park. Is this doable....or are we going to have to park at the TTC or take the bus?

You might be able to do it or you may be turned away. People have reported both....or you may have a time limit on how long you can stay parked. 3 hours seems pretty standard. Taking the bus brings you right into the park entrance and you can hop on the monorail and do you resort touring.

If it weren't a night of MVMCP, you could do that, if you said you had a reason to be at the Contemporary (ie, dining, visiting a guest). We've had them check reservation numbers. I'd be very surprised if they weren't carefully screening everyone who tries to park there when there's an 'event' at MK. Otherwise there might not be room for the Contemporary guests. It's wonderful to park there, especially if you park at the end closest to MK. Then it's just a few minutes to walk to your car when you're ready to leave.

If you want to be assured of parking there, you could make a dinner reservation for there, or park at the resort where you WILL be eating, and still plan to resort hop via monorail to see the decorations. FYI, we were there 3 years ago and I don't remember that the Poly had very many decorations. We stayed at the Contemporary, and it had a very modern theme. GF wasbeautiful, and if there's any way you can squeeze in a stop at WL, it's one of the best. Have a great trip!

When we were there in October there was a sign at the CR that said parking for the MK was prohibitied and towing was in order.

They were giving out 3 hours passes for dining. I'd be careful.

Thanks, wasn't sure if with being a DVC member we were offered the "perk" of parking at other resort lots. Guess we'll be doing the MVMCP mass transportation thing with the hoards. Yuck.
