Parking Pass Question

We are planning on going straight to the park before we checked in. We will not have our parking pass yet. Is there a way that the parking attendants can look our reservation up?

Here is why it won't work. Just because you have a reservation in the system, you aren't officially checked in until you go to the resort and check in. So...no perks.
You might be able to hold onto the receipt and get reimbursed for it later, but that's kind of a hassle. Just go to the resort, get checked in and then go to the park.

Even if you do online check in? I've read somewhere that they can scan your magicband.

I was about to post this same question. I'm arriving early my first day and I was planning on going to AK. I'm staying at BLT and I'd really rather not have to drive all the way to BLT just to turn around and drive to AK. That's, what, 40 minutes of time!

I saw a post on touringplans that suggested bringing your reservation printout to the person at the parking booth, but no validation on whether it'd work or not.

All you have done is pre register for your stay. You aren't an onsite guest, with parking, charging or dining privileges until you have actually checked in at the resort.

Even if the parking booth CMs do scan bands, you're not an on-site guest until you physically check in!

Because something was read somewhere, or posted on a forum by someone who seems never to have actually done it, doesn't make it true. In the latter example, what would stop someone from making a reservation, printing the confirmation, the cancelling the reservation?

Curious where you would be driving "all the way" from, and why it's not worth 40 minutes to save $17?

Nope. Even if your MB was scanned, it wouldn't show that you were officially registered. All on-line check-in does is make it faster once you get to the resort. You are not considered a resort guest until you go to the resort, and get checked in.
It should take an addtl 30 mins. Makes more sense to just get checked in, and then head to a park.

As already mentioned, just because you may have read something somewhere, doesn't make it fact. People get nudgy with me on this board when I say that we can't just go around stating stuff.....too many people may make a decision based on that remark and find it to be wrong!!! There is even info on the Disney official site that isn't correct! Go figure.:sad2:

We once arrived at WDW in early afternoon and wanted to maximize our park time that day. So we drove straight to the park we wanted to go to, paid the parking fee and kept the receipt. We checked in at Pop Century about 10:00 that night and were promptly reimbursed for that fee. It took about 1 minute extra to do this versus 40 minutes had we checked in first before going to the park. Just pay and hold on to the receipt.

Thanks for the info! Has anyone done this recently?
