Hi. I was hoping someone might know about the location of the handicapped parking in the garage at universal. I was thinking about paying for prime parking but if it is located next to the handicapped parking I will not pay the extra cost because that is where we would be parking if we did not upgrade. TIA

In the main garage at least, handicap is on the same level as bag check and is as close as you can get to bag check. Prime is right behind it. I don’t know what they do when that lot fills up; maybe there’s another handicap section on the same level in the other garage.

You could also pay extra to valet. That gets you even closer and has it's own security check. Pricy though, the website says $65 for all day vs $40 for prime and $26 for regular. I have a preferred AP so we got a discount on valet.

$65 for parking times three days is definitely not within our budget but thanks for letting me know. That’s a nice perk to have a discount off of valet parking.

I will definitely not upgrade to prime then. Thanks for the info.

Handicapped parking is on the 3rd floor of either the Jurassic Park section or Spider-Man section, depending on what parking garage you are directed to. These are the closest spaces to the main hub in the parking garage. The price is the same as standard parking. I have parked in the handicapped parking areas many times myself. Just make sure your handicapped placard is hanging from your rear view mirrors (the parking attendants usually see it) or let the attendant know you need handicapped parking. They will put a small blue piece of paper under your windshield wiper and tell you to turn on your hazards. Then just follow the signs to handicapped parking.
