We are staying in a two bedroom at BWV with 8 people. It would be much less to rent two small cars than try to get a full size SUV or Van. (We definately want our own transportation).
Will we have to pay to park the second car?

We've often had guests with a second vehicle when we stayed in a two bedroom villa. No problem at all.

People on this board always think of questions I didn't even know I had! :lmao: We leave in 3 days for a 2 bedroom at OKW and we will have 2 cars. It is good to know parking won't be a problem!

Just as an FYI, VB is an exception.

You will only receive one parking permit per unit, due to the limited number of spaces. The additional vehicles are supposed to park in the Disney-owned parking area across the street from the resort.

My experience while staying in a beach cottage when we had 2 cars was that we were given 2 parking permits. Perhaps it's 'rigged' to the size of the 'unit'.

They told me last year (Labor Day) that we could only have one for the Beach Cottage, too. (Which I thought was really silly.)

But they don't give you any grief about letting everyone park close enough while they're unpacking/packing.

Hummm....perhaps then it's decided on how busy the resort is at a given time?? -- It was in January when we got 2 permits :confused3

Maybe that's it. We were there in late May, and were only allowed one permit for our 2 BR lockoff. Friends of ours, also DVC members, were staying in the studio portion. They were driving down from GA in their brand new car, and we really didn't want them to have to park across the street.....so guess who ended up doing so??

It really made no sense to us, since if they'd rented the 1 BR and studio out separately they would have needed to provide a space for each unit.

We requested and received two for our May BCV stay with no problem.

Many timeshares do this. The two I own on HH have under building parking. You get one permit per unit for under building parking and one elsewhere. For Grande Ocean, it's across the street.
