Parking for 1900 PF breakfast

For this trip, we are staying off site so we will have our car. We have an 8:30 breakfast reservation at 1900 Park Fare. Do we park in the GF parking lot and then move our car after breakfast? I'm assuming that we shouldn't leave the car in the GF lot all day, but I'm new to having a car at the parks. Can someone advise?

I know when you stay at a Disney resort yOu get free parking but not sure about off property. Each resort you have to go through a security gate, I'm sure you tell the guard you have a breakfast reservation but I don't think you can leave your car there thus skipping out on parking fee ($15) at park you may get some sort of ticket. We always get a parking pass at check in.

You can self park and move or valet and leave it there.
