I have been reading that there is a charge for parking at the 3 hotels? Is that correct? We will be staying at RPR

According to my confirmation I received, it is $15 per night. Which is rather inexpensive for a typical 4* hotel.

I absolutely love that Loews breaks out the fees rather than hiding them in the more expensive nightly rates like a neighboring theme park. This way, if you have a car, you pay. If you don't have a car, you don't pay.

My nightly base rate for my vacation is $205 per night (PBH). Now it is $220 a night - still a fantastic rate for a 4* hotel.

Is the hotel parking separate from the Theme Park parking? Is it easy to find? We are going in 2 weeks fro our first Universal visit. Thanks,

Jen

Theme park is indeed separate from hotel parking.

I agree. I prefer to pay for things you need and we need 14 days parking as we always have a car. I know exactly what I am paying for. And yes it`s good it`s not hidden.

Yes very easy to find. Everything is clearly marked. :thumbsup2

That stinks about the parking fee. I am usually an All Stars girl. ;) :rotfl:

$15.95 per night for self parking. They ask if you have a car and if you self or valet parked.

The All Star resorts are great, and a wonderful option for families. But you really can't compare them to the Universal hotels.

The Loews hotels are rated 4 diamonds by AAA, which puts them in the same league as the Grand Floridian, Beach Club, etc.

Even Deluxes like Animal Kingdom Lodge are only 3 diamonds.

The All Star are 2 diamonds.

While the diamond rating isn't everything, it does give one a basis for comparison.

So, getting a 4 diamond hotel for the rates Universal charges, a $15.00 + tax parking fee is pretty much negligible.

For my dates, I am getting a 4* hotel for $205 per night. For the exact same days at the Beach Club (a comparable resort) it would be costing me $480.99 :scared1: per night. (AAA rates)

I don't have a problem at all adding $15 + tax to my nightly rate at the Portofino :lmao: And one of the reasons we always stay at Universal and drive over to Disney if we want to do anything over there.

No way was I comparing them. :lmao: When we stay at the All Stars we usually pay around $99 a night
We got a rate of $259 a night for RPR Club Level. Can't wait!!!

You are going to LOVE it! :goodvibes: It is such a gorgeous resort!

But that is why I prefer Loews breaking out their fees. There is definitely a parking fee hidden in that $481 per night at the Beach Club and from the looks of the nightly fee - probably way more than $15.00 a night. With Loews, I only pay extra if I have a car, with Disney, I pay no matter what.
