Parking Fees at Huntington/Newport Beach

Does anyone know how much parking is at any of the beaches in HB or NB? We'll be making a quick day trip into one of these beaches right when we get into town (from Las Vegas.. staying in Anaheim) and I was just wondering how much damage parking is going to be..

We will only be there for a couple of hours so I would rather not pay the 10$/15$ all day fee for 2 hours.

Also, it will be a sunday afternoon (in August) so will there even be any parking for us?

We went to HB last month loved it. We parked in the neighborhood two blocks away from the beach & a block away from the main street (where all the shops are) for free . It was a nice walk looking at the homes & the people we saw sitting on their porches were so friendly. Man it made we want to move their

Oh thanks so much for that info! You didn't get towed or ticketed for parking in a neighborhood? I am just so excited to go... too bad I have to wait 2 more months!!!

Nope didn't get ticketed or towed .There is tons of parking around the neighborhood.

You guys are going to have so much fun. I loved it there so much! @ more monhs will come quicker than you think Enjoy the planning stage I really miss the time that I wasplanning our trip
