Hi everyone! I'm planning a trip for 8-10 people, and initially we'd planned to stay at Wilderness Lodge. But due to a multitude of factors (including my almost 2 and almost 5 year old girls suddenly entering their princess phases in a big way), we're likely going with the princess rooms at POR instead. I still want to get a good visit in at WL, and we're all hoping to do Story Book Dining. We'd also wanted to do a fireworks cruise at one point in our trip and I felt like it might make sense to pair the two and try to leave for the cruise from WL. But we'll have rental cars. I think I've heard dining reservations only get you about three hours of parking at a resort? Does a fireworks cruise also get you access to parking? I don't think we can fit that dining experience and the cruise into three hours, or if we did, it might be pushing it.

I'm having a memory of people complaining parking wasn't included at YC for the EP fireworks cruise so maybe not. I'd call Disney at the number you used to book the cruise and ask. If the answer is no you can always park at TTC or bus to MK.

I need someone who has done a fireworks cruise recently to chime in here as I don’t have direct recent experience. I know when you book the info says “Guests who plan on driving may park at Disney’s Contemporary Resort” but I know you can arrange for boat pickup at the other MK resorts as well (double check me on this), so I’m not sure if that’s just bad website copy or the way they try to manage things.

Otherwise IMO this falls into the “recreation experiences” as defined by Disney and I’d be surprised if a place like WL wouldn’t let you park for it.
  • Standard self-parking is complimentary for day Guests while they enjoy select dining, shopping, entertainment and recreation experiences at Disney Resort hotels.
But, as resort parking can often be a YMMV thing (even sometimes regardless of what you’ve been told), I agree about calling the recreation line and seeing what they have to say.

It will not be a problem since you have an ADR for Story Book Dining and a Fireworks cruise. The WL is not super busy as far as parking is concerned. If you do both on the same night there will be no issue and they will not make you move your car.

I can't speak to WL specifically, but I have never had an issue parking at GF for a spa reservation or at Poly for a fishing excursion. Your ADR alone will get you into WL to park. I don't think you will have an issue.
