I have mobility problems so, I was hoping to renting a ECV once inside the park instead of taking mine apart and putting it in the van. The last few times we went to Universal, we were not always able to find a handicaped spot. it was such a long walk just from the parking lot to the rental counter. I know that sometimes they have courtesy push wheel chairs but I have never been luck enough to find one.

I have read that there is priority parking for an additional fee. Is this parking area any closer to inside the park?

I would do valet since you would be as close as you could get to CityWalk...but there is a fee involved. Check the link Donald provided and see it's worth it to you. Preferred parking is on the third level which is the main level that meets up with the moving sidewalks but it's no closer to the park entrance.
