This is our first time going to Universal. We know alot about Disney but are in need of Universal info. I am staying offsite while there and will be driving to the parks. I know at Disney I could park at Fort Wilderness eat lunch and take transportion to the parks from there to save a little money on parking therefore allowing more money to spend on other things. Is there is any way to do this at Universal to get to the parks using internal transportation without staying onsite. Any info would be greatly appreciated.:)

Not that I know of. If you park at their onsite hotels you are charged more than the parking garage. The only way to get out of paying is, if the offsite hotel offers free transportation.

I don't know of anything either. :confused3

there is a TGI Fridays across Kirkman from Universal. Unless they have done something different you can park there and then cross Kirkman at the light and be on Universal property. However you still have a walk ahead of you to get inside the parking garage to get to the escalaters to get to the Rotunda to get to the parks and City Walk. :cool1:

Then you come back to your car missing due to illegally parked.:sad2:

We on the boards have investigated this problem before and never seem to come up with anything that is time worthy. You have to park quite a bit offsite to get free parking. There are several hotels and restaurants that are within walking distance with huge parking lots that you could probably secretly park in for the day but then you have to either walk the half an hour to the park or take a cab. It is a tough one to get around.

Perhaps your hotel has free transportation to Universal. Many do. But then again you are at their mercy and that can add a lot of time onto your day.
