Hi, a family member has to activate their salute ticket they bought at their local travel center over at either the guest services at MK, or the TTC to avoid doing that on the park morning.

Getting to Disney Springs might now work out when they arrive, so the other two choices are what I listed. Can they park their car over at the TTC for free to get over to the TTC windows? Another thought is parking at the GF and taking the monorail over to MK guest services. Can they park at the GF for free? I read in a few places they can, for under three hours. Wanted to see if that is still the case.

I'm pretty sure they'll have to pay to park at the TTC no matter what their reason is for parking there - unless they arrive near to MK closing time and the booths aren't staffed. As for the GF, reports are that they've been pretty strict about not letting anyone park there unless they're staying there or have an ADR for a sit-down restaurant. Just not enough parking spaces for everyone! So for free parking, DS is it. The good news is that Guest Relations and the Disney Ticket Office are not far from the pedestrian exits from the parking garages.

There is a guest drop off area at the TTC (its where the non-disney buses go) that you could use to drop them off at. You might need to loop around to come back and pick them up.

I don’t know if this has changed since Covid but that’s not the case if you tell them at the toll plaza that you need to handle ticket business at the TTC. A few years ago we took my cousin from West Palm with us and drove straight there to pick up her FL resident ticket at will call before checking into our offsite hotel. They directed us to the taxi drop off area and told us we could park there for free.

Thanks - that’s good to know! I’m always glad to add to my knowledge base!

Things are very different now, not just due to COVID, but also the entrance reconfiguration. You no longer go thru the MK toll booth to get to the resorts & TTC, and the TTC ticket booths are inside the security perimeter.

It may still be possible, but you would bypass the toll booth, following signs to Guest Drop-Off to the left, then a left at the traffic light, and the first right. After arriving, you would have to walk to the TTC security check area. I haven't visited since the pandemic; I assume you would have to get a temp and mask check, as well.

The Guest Drop-Off spaces at TTC used to have signs saying parking for 15 minutes; don't know if that's still the case.

You are correct that temperature checks are done before going through security.
