Parking at the WDW resorts

Does anyone have any tips for getting close parking spaces at WDW resort? If you're not there early, how long of a walk it is to the gate?

If you are talking about the parks the best way is to get there early. They do have trams from the parking lot so even if you are far away it doesn't take long to get to the gate. My kids love riding the tram so it doesn't matter if we park up close.
