Parking at the parks.

Next week will be my 6th or 7th trip to the world and I've NEVER had to park in a WDW theme park parking lot. LOL. We've always stayed onsite and used Disney transportation.

In exactly one week for today we will be staying at Regal Sun Resort in DD (keeping fingers crossed about construction) and will be driving to the MK for MNSSHP, AK, and EPCOT. I'm a little nervous about it.

Silly, eh? I guess I don't have an actual question, just more of a need to hear that "parking is a breeze" from everyone else who has experience with this.

I find driving to be a breeze throughout WDW. The signage is very good.

Parking at EPCOT, AK and MGM is quite easy and straightforward.

The only place parking can be a bit of a pain is at MK, since you don't park at MK. You park at the TTC, then ride the parking lot tram, then got on a monorail or ferry to MK itself. It's not difficult, but it is time-consuming compared to the other parks, especially when leaving the parks.

I agree that driving/parking is a breeze. Just leave about 30 minutes extra for MK. We almost always stay offsite, and even when we've stayed at Disney resorts, we still drive ourselves because we can't stand waiting for a bus and then maybe having to stand (or feel guilty about others standing). MK can be a bit slow if you're leaving right after fireworks, but at the other parks, it's so nice to just walk out and leave directly in our car!

Going Dec 15-22, staying at Royal Plaza and will have our own car. Would it be best to always park in either Epcot or MGM - even for MK and taking the monorail to avoid TTC parking? We aren't planning to do AK, just MK, MGM and Epcot.

Are there trams for parking in MGM and Epcot, or only TTC?

Driving and parking is not difficult, be SURE you write down what section and row you are in before you leave your car, and take the tram.
It is not hard but it is expensive unless of course you are on site or an AP holder. Keep your parking reciept to show at different parks if you are hopping on the same day.

Think about this how many millions of tourists from all over the world have driven there and parked over the years and have you ever heard of anyone being lost forever in the parking lot? Even people who can't read or speak English manage to drive and park there. Just don't hit the poor CM guiding you into the parking spot and you've "done good".

There are trams for all the parks unless you get there early and are close enough that you don't need one. I would just park at TTC for Mk.
