Parking at resorts

I am assuming you mean for time during the day. Parking at the resorts for a day trip does not cost anything for anyone, DVC or otherwise, But parking is subject to whatever rules apply at the resort for such parking. And the rules that exist are designed to prevent people from parking at a resort just to go to a park. At BLT and other MK resorts, that usually means you can park there for up three hours if you have some confirmed event to attend at the resort like a restaurant reservation, but otherwise you will be turned away.

The exception I am aware of to that is valet parking. You can go to any resort during the day and valet park even if just doing so to go to a park. However, you may need to convince the parking attendant at the gate that you are actually going to valet park, and you can easily do that by also showing you are already valet parking at the resort at which you are staying (but valet parking does not exist at OKW or SSR). Note that if you are valet parking for the day at your home resort, there will be no additional charge for valet parking at another resort, i.e., do valet parking at any resort at WDW for the day and you can then valet park during that day at any other resort that has it for no additional charge.

Thanks for the info! Don't think it is worth any aggravation....buses are fun!! lol

Also, when TOTWL is open, DVC members are explicitly not allowed to park at BLT to access the lounge, save if they pay valet.

Another option,,..which we have done...is rideshare to one of the MK resorts when not staying in the area and then walk/monorail over,

To be fair, we never do it right at opening, usually 30 minutes or so later, and it hasn’t been post Covid,

It is one of the reasons we normally split stay to avoid it. But were at SSR with a bigger group a few years ago, so this is what we did for MK morning.

As DVC, if we rent a car, can we park at Bay Lake?

We are staying at OKW for the first time :)
You can park while you are dining, but not to go to the theme parks. Just ride the buses. They are great.
