We are staying on property and our AP holders. This is our first time with a car and would like to visit several C.S locations to eat at on this trip. Are we aloud to park at the resort while we eat.
CSR and AKL or on our list as must do's but didn't want to have to take the bus over as it would take more time to transfer.

You are most definitely allowed to park at resorts while you check them out, eat there, shop there, etc. You will probably have to stop at a guard gate at each resort. Tell them you are just visiting the resort, and they'll either wave you through or give a parking pass good for something like 2 or 3 hours.

I'm pretty sure Disney encourages this, since this is how we decided to stay at some of the resorts we've stayed at for future trips.

grimley1968 is correct. It's not a problem at all to park at a resort to shop, dine, visit, whatever. At resorts where people may try to park and head off to a theme park (monorails resorts in particular), they may give you a three-hour parking pass, but that's more than enough time to have a meal and check out the resort. Have fun!
