Can you park at the Poly in order to eat at the counter service place?

My daughter is travelling with a friend to MK and wants to meet some other friends for lunch somewhere nearby. They're poor college students so table service is out. They're afraid they won't be able to park because they don't have reservations.

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on how crowded it is at the time they go. They may be able to, they may have to Valet or even if Valet is full they may have to park at the TTC and walk over to the Poly.

What about Kona Cafe for lunch? You can make an ADR there and that should give access to Poly parking since there is a dining reservation. There are many items on the menu in the $10 to $16 range.

Why would they just not eat quick service at MK? It's not like the quick service food at MK is anymore expensive than the quick service food at the Poly. :confused3

They are meeting friends who won't be going to the parks.

Eaaaaaauuuu! Gotcha!! :)

Depends on when they're going. It's getting very close to peak Easter crowds and the MK Resorts are typically closed, allowing only Resort guests or those with confirmed dining reservations to self or valet park. Even if they tell security they will valet, if the Resort is on a hard close, they won't get through without proof of a room or dining reservation. I agree with the poster above, best for them to park in the MK lot and walk to the Poly, just to be safe and not waste any time.

ETA: this is the most redundant post. It's late. I need to go to bed. LOL!

Gosh, I don't know why I can't quote, it's late for me too. ;)

They are going tomorrow. I think their friends have APs that block them from MK tomorrow. They might just bus to AoA and have their friends meet them there.

Why not meet their friends in Disney Springs? They can take a bus there from one of the MK resorts and their friends can park for free. Lots of better dining choices there.

Ahh!! Annual pass!!

Please ignore anything I have to say from here on out if the 'below platinum' (no blackout dates) APs even have blackout dates for parking??? That seems even excessively constricting for Disney- that's a lot of fine print - no park admission and no parking

Opens up a world of possibilities with free parking - you are still not guaranteed free parking at a resort - this week is peak spring break, so on the safe side I would assume Poly parking would be locked down to paying guests only or may be extended to diners with reservations - might be more liberal, but assume the worst

With the visiting friends having APs (or at least one of them) park for free at Epcot or TTC take a monorail to the Poly if that's where they are looking to meet - and your daughter and her friend can walk or take the monorail from MK to Poly

Disney Springs would be the easiest for everyone involved so that they don't have to worry about parking. Plus the food is a lot better and many more options.

Another option is Wilderness Lodge. The friends should be able to park there with no issues, and the park visitors can either bus or boat to the resort.
