How much does it cost to park at Port Canaveral? Any tips I should know for parking there? How long does it usually take to park and walk to check in?
Thanks for your help!

It depends on whether you park in the preferred lot ($20.00 more) or in the garage as to how much time it takes to park and get to check in.
Also, the security lines and how busy they are when you arrive to the terminal.
All told I would say about 15 to 20 minutes from parking the car to getting into the terminal, past the x ray machines and into the check in lines.

When you pull into the terminal you will drive past the parking deck and loop around towards the baggage drop-off area. Be sure to have the bags tagged with the room tags you will get in the mail and to have tip $$ for the porter. Then you drive into the parking deck. Go up to the third level because there is walkway to the terminal there. We always have a 10:30 PAT and actually arrive at 10:30. There is usually a line already but it does not take too long. Have your passports/IDs ready.

On our first cruise I excited forgot to drop our bags off so we had to lug them to the curb, give them to a porter and then they sent us back into the garage and up to the 3rd level. ROOKIE!!

At the end of your cruise when you go down the escalator/elevator there will be luggage handlers with carts. They will pick up your bags, wait with you in line, and then load it into your car. They appreciate tips as well.

These people can be a great help as often times people have way more stuff to manage getting off the ship than when they did getting on.

I'm pretty sure that the porters are only there once the regular debarkation begins. It's my understanding that if you choose to do early walk-off YOU are responsible for all your bags. Period.

That is true. If you do express walk-off then you are correct, you are responsible for all your baggage. The same if you have a flight before 1130am and want to rely on Disney transport. Disney will not be responsible to transport those bags either.

Thanks for this advice! We will for sure park on the third floor. is that the preferred lot or more expensive one?

Also, thanks you for the information about disembarkation. I didn't even think about that part!
