Parking at parks

hey guys,
I see if you book new resort reservation, there is a parking fee. Is parking fee waived at parks still if you are resort guest?

So, in theory, I could leave my car parked at Epcot all week (for free) and use the Disney transportation and then come and get my car on my last day, never to park at my resort (at a fee) and never having to pay to park in the theme parks, as I am a resort guest?

Eh... I wouldn't if it were me. At the very least, Disney is probably aware (or will be soon) that people are going to try this tactic to avoid parking fees, and will mark the tires. When they realize it's been there for days they might tow it.

Are you saying EVERY car is out of the parking lots of the theme parks EVERY night ? OK, change it up and say I'll do this at Disney Springs instead of a theme park.

Discussion about circumventing Disney rules is not allowed here.

So, there is a current rule that says I can't leave my car at Disney Springs for an extended period of time? I am not trying to circumvent anything, I am trying to know all my options ahead of time.

I have no idea if it's an official rule (others may know) but those parking spots are for ppl who are at Disney Springs. If you aren't at Disney Springs then your car shouldn't be either.

It sounds like you are talking about avoiding the resort parking fee. Are we incorrect about that? Regardless I would think a car would eventually get towed if left in the same place too long.

Disney has thought of guests trying to park elsewhere to get out of paying the fee. You can't park at the parks for days on end, and you can't leave your car at Disney Springs either.

Either don't bring a car, or pay the fee. Those are your choices.

Your parking fee is added to your hotel folio upon checkout, so it sounds like you’d automatically be charged for the number of nights of your reservation if you declare you have a vehicle.

Yes. Any vehicle left in the lot after 3 am gets towed. Same with Disney Springs.
It is very simple - Disney has left no flexibility for rule-bending on this.
I imagine it will be very simple to drive the license-plate reader car through the resort parking lots, and either mail a bill to the license on file for that vehicle OR add it to your hotel portfolio upon checkout.

Our local parking authority has done this for YEARS and they partnered with the zoo and some other museums. You park, you enter your license plate into the machine, you insert payment, you go to the zoo. IF you are a member of the zoo, the ticket for the parking spot does NOT process on your payment method. Once your car LEAVES the lot, at the end of that business day, the parking authority charges your payment method if you are not a member. This stops people from parking at the zoo in order to obtain "free parking" for the public train at the zoo station. ;) Feel free to park there and try to avoid the kiosk, but if you don't have a payment method in the system for that day, or you are not a zoo member, you WILL get a (much larger) bill in the mail!

Disney doesn't tow cars on the first overnight in a park's lot. Typically someone would leave their car if they're too drunk to drive. Stopping at guest relations or security to let them know the car has to stay there is the safest way to go about it Disney will mark the tire to show it's been there overnight and if it remains the next night, Disney tows it.

I disagree with this. Many people save and save to stay at Disney. The parking fees are substantial.
$20 a day? So $140/week? Based on what is probably at least a $1K vacation.

FWIW, I was in Vegas last week. One of the hotels we went into had $35/night SELF parking. And this was off the strip.

If you decide to park in Epcot just move your car every couple days to a different location.
