Parking at Manchester Airport

Just wondering what to do as regards getting to Manchester, previously we've either got a lift from family, or got the train. This time, as the little 'uns don't know anything about the trip, I'll be making my own way over on the train, and my missus is pondering driving over and joining me later with the kids ince they've finished school to stop over at Bewley's the night before we fly.

I've heard a few stories about car parking being miles off the airport and instances whereby people have had their tyres changed due to being unroadworthy and being charged a fortune by the parking company, etc, etc.

Anyone recommend anywhere or got any decent prices - haven't really got a clue what's a decent price to be honest.

We have always used meet and greet at Manchester, just drive up to terminal take luggage out of car, and be met by bloke who drives your car to a secure compound, when you arrive back your car will be brought back to you within 5 minutes- i prefer meet and greet to all the years of lugging 3 kids around+ luggage off and on those shuttle buses.
