Parking at hotel fees and taking buses?

Hello! We are planning our first trip to WDW in April, staying at Wilderness Lodge. We will not have a car. My question is that my Mom who lives in FL will be visiting us for a couple of the days, staying off site. She will meet us at our hotel and take the disney buses to the park with us. Will she be charged for parking at the Wilderness Lodge? AND will she be allowed to ride the buses with us, (never been, not sure how the buses work?)??? I assume the buses aren't only allowed for guests staying onsite, because anybody can take the buses to other parks, resorts, etc correct?

I think if you pay for Valet parking ($14/day?) your Mom will be allowed to park at resort.

My other suggestion (and if this goes against DIS policy, please feel free to delete)... when you check in, ask for a parking pass. When your mom gets there, put it in her car.

ETA: Yes, everyone can ride the busses.

Since you will not have a car, get a parking pass and have her use the pass. You are allowed 1 parking pass for your reservation, so why not use it.

As mentioned already, you will be asked, at checkin, if you have a car with you. Tell them yes. Then, when your mom gets tp WL, she can put that tag on her dashboard. She won't have any issue parking there.
Also no issue with her using the buses/boats/monorails with you. Anyone is welcome to use the Disney transportation.

Requesting a parking pass at check-in is a good idea. At the security gate, she will be asked who she is visiting and be issued a short-term parking pass. She can change it our with yours.

I recall being asked that years and years ago, but it's been at least 10 years since., nowadays, we usually take DME, check-in, then pick up our rental car and aren't asked - good thing, as we would have no idea what our Car would be at that point

You can have more then 1 parking pass per reservation. In September we had three vehicles one one reservation number (2 Bedroom at Kidani).

I've never been asked for the license plate number, but the make and model is often asked (but not always).
