don't flame me for asking...I just want to do the right thing

We will be spending a day at epcot with dinner at B&C followed by an illumnations cruise. Is it ok to park at the BC...or what would you all recommend?

Anne

Park in the Epcot parking lot when you arrive, then drive over to the YC if that is where you pick up your Illuminations Cruise (could also be BW) and to eat at B&C.

then valet park.

when someone posts "don't flame me for asking", they know the Disney policy, they're usually looking to see how many other people have gotten away with it.

or, maybe they come to these boards to learn the policy. Real nice. :badpc:

I think parking at BC or YC would be a perfectly approriate use, given that you are dining there first, then taking the Illuminations cruise from there. So you parking there is not cheating by any means, it is simply the right thing to do (not to mention the most convenient. Clearly, you are not seeking to evade the regular backups or anything, like those who try to park at the Epcot resorts and simply go to Epcot from there, without using resort service.

I think valet parking it would also be a good way to go about it too: not absolutely necessary, just more convenient
.

I took the OP to mean that they were spending the day at Epcot first, then dining at B&C, then the cruise. I think the question was can they park at BC in the morning.

Ok...I think I've got it.

We will park in the Epcot lot, visit Epcot, leave around 5ish and drive to YC and valet park.

Thanks all!

Anne

No reason to inconvenience all of you; just have Hubby move the car, and the rest of the group continue touring. Moving the car is something Husbands are for (or so my wife tells me);)

If you are planning to park at BC/YC in the AM and spend the day at Epcot, then no.... it is not really appropriate, but there is no reason that you can't park there, if you are eating there and taking the cruise that evening.

If you are staying at a Disney owned hotel, and have a PS in the morning, I would take the bus to MGM, then catch the boat launch to BC. When finished, walk to the back entrance (International Gateway) and enter Epcot from there (it will put you in the park between Great Britain and France). When you leave, go through the same gate, and walk back to BC/YC. Eat, take the cruise, and when done, take a bus from there to DTD, and transfer to a bus back to your resort.

If you aren't staying in a Disney resort, drive to BC for breakfast, move car to Epcot, then when done, move car back to BC.

Ah, the travails of manuvering through Walt Disney World!

Policy is and is posted at the entrance to the resorts, Parking is not allowed to access the parks.

If you valet for the entire day there will not be a problem. They just do not want guests that are not staying there to park to go to the parks and take up spaces in the general lot all day while at the park.
