parking at Dolphin/SWAN

I have heard , not sure how long its been going on, but that
Dolphin and Swan charge per day to have your car parked there even
if you are a guest...
have you guys staying there been charged it ?

What is the general concensus on this ??
any opinions on this extra charge ?

Yes there is a parking fee of $9.00 even for guests of the resort. I love the Dolphin so if we are renting a car I just add the $9.00 to the nightly rate and budget on that amount. Often the discounts are so good that even after adding back the $9.00 for parking it makes sense for us to choose the Dolphin vs a WDW moderate. YMMV

It's true. You only have to pay per day (not per entry), but you do have to pay even as a hotel guest. I think a lot of resort (i.e. Westin) hotels do this.

Just remember that Swan/Dolphin is a Disney resort only when applying certain benefits, but they are not run by Disney. We just stayed there and DM and DSF stayed offsite and parked there so they could travel with us every day.

Correct you won't have Magical Express to/from the airport and you can't charge back to the room while in the parks.

You do get access to EMH, the same WDW transportation as BW/BC/YC and you can have your park and DTD purchases shipped to the Swan/Dolphin.
