We have 8:30a.m. PS on our last day at WDW at Chef Mickeys for breakfast. We are staying offsite. Should we go to the contemporary that morning and park and just take the monorail to MK after we are done eating breakfast? Or should we park at MK and take the monorail to the Contemporary for breakfast and then monorail back to MK? Does the monorail run before the park opens? MK opens at 9:00a.m. that morning. Would our car get towed if we left it at the Contemporary all day? Thanks alot for any replies.

go to contemporary, they will ask you and you can confirm you have ps for breakfast, they will even let you park up close if you need to run in and buy something, just communicate, they appreciate it!

FYI: Depending on when you go, you will be given a three hour parking permit. This is being done increasingly at the MK resorts to stop the flow of people who park at the resort all day--to avoid the $6 fee, because it's more convienient, or whatever. Guests at these resorts have been complaining for some time that it is often difficult for them to find a spot because of all the "day guests". The three hour time limit was imposed to give visitors enough time to eat a meal, shop or browse through the resort, without taking up parking all day. We have received these 3 hour passes at the Contemporary and the Grand Flor. HOWEVER--when we valet park (and there is a $6 fee for this) we do not have the time limit.

I would park at the Contemporary, tell them at the gate you are having breakfast, and they will give you a pass for your car window for 4 hours, then get on the monorail to MK. If you are planning on staying longer in MK, there is a SMALL chance you may get a ticket after the 4 hours, but I don't know how strict they really are. You might want to drive to TTC (transportation and ticket center) and park there and hop on the monorail at that point (MK has no parking lot on site), if you are worried about a ticket. Yes, the monorail starts early in the morning, before the park opens. Have fun! :)

Thanks alot for the input. I think we will arrive early and park at MK and take the monorail to the Contemporary and then back again. I think the people who are paying the price to stay at the Contemporary ought not have a problem parking! I wasn't trying to get out of paying the $6 to park at MK, just inexperienced and didn't know what would be best or possible. Thanks for your replies, these boards are going to make our very first trip to WDW SO much better!

kimb4 - When you get to the TTC, make sure you tell them that you have a PS at the Contemporary. When we were there in May, the monorail to MK was not running until 8:30, UNLESS you had a PS for a CB at MK - or if you were heading to a resort. A lot of people were confused and did not realize that if they told the CM about their PS, they could take an earlier monorail to get there on time.
