Well then, I sure hope there aren't any security CMs at the entrance who get drunk with power! ::yes::

I am with NJmouse when I say free valet parking is the only perk I use. I could care less about where any discounts are given, but like I have said so many times about the bus service over at OKW is that I do not use it which means valet parking is how I go to the parks whether it is at DVC for free or other resorts where I pay. I don't care, I just want to be able to valet park. It looks like they will not let DVC members in to do that. I usually only stay an hour or so at any park but I do enjoy the whole BWV and BCV area so valet parking is important to me.

I am delighted to see Disney doing something about parking for BWV/BWI guests. I hope it continues beyond the Flower and Garden Festival, and I also think the policy should apply earlier - starting at 5 or 6 am.

As DebbieB and Granny posted, hopefully the policy will not be interpreted to prevent DVC members from using the valet parking. I've not ever seen or heard that the valet lot fills - except between Christmas and New Year's.

As far as self-parking goes, unless a DVC member is actually staying at BWV, I see no reason why the member shouldn't be treated the same as anyone else. In other words, DVC members who are not actually staying at the BWV should also be required to use the over flow lot.

The above is just an opinion from a BWV owner who has frequently not been able to find a self-parking spot in the BWI/BWV lot. This was in the late afternoons/early evenings in early December!

I agree completely. I just wonder how long before valet parking for those accessing a park also becomes a problem and there are no valet spots left for those staying at the resorts. There are only so many places for them to valet park people.

When it gets close to full, then they need to start limiting it to resort guests. I've stayed at BWV many times (but not at a peak time like Christmas) and the valet parking is never close to full. I don't think many offsite people will pay to valet park just for a little more convenience to the parks. They like to self park at BW because it's free.
