Parking at BDL Airport?

It's been several years since we flew out of BDL airport, but our flight is Friday. One time, we had terrible problems with parking at BDL, but I read that they now have a parking garage for long term parking. But it says there are only 3500 spaces in the garage.

I wondered if anyone could tell me if the garage is frequently filled to capacity (meaning we'd need to find some other place to park)? We leave on Friday morning, 11am Southwest flight, which means we'll likly get to the airport around 9:30 - 10am on Friday morning.

If the parking garage is filled to capacity, what other (non-airport) locations can anyone suggest for off airport parking? We WON'T attempt to park in any of BDLs long term parking lots again - we had such a terrible time the last time we did, I don't think i'll ever trust that airport parking (or their "shuttle" services) again. I'm willing to try the garage as we don't have to rely on the shuttle services to get to the terminal.

Can anyone tell me if we can likely park in teh parking garage, or should I plan to go off site?

Thanks for your help!!

Thanks for your help!!

I don't think you will have any trouble BUT parking in the garage will be very expensive won't it? Check out the options!

We park at Westside Parking that is on Rt. 20 in East Granby. It is super fast to shuttle to the airport. When you return, you pick up the phone, read them your claim check # and your car will be warming up when you get there.

Westside Parking Inc
3 International Dr, East Granby, CT, United States
Phone: (860) 653-7667

To get to East Granby, you take the East Granby(Rt. 20) exit which is right before the airport and travel a very short distance. Westside is on your left.

Good luck! :goodvibes

My mom and I always have to park up at the airport and never park in Long term parking either. We don't trust our car just to sit in the garage we rather have a company we can go back to and deal with thats private.

I have used VIP Parking and will NEVER use them again They scratched my car and luckily we have learned that we take photos of the car when we drop it off and then when we return before we leave the parking lot we inspect it and we had the photo's on the Digitial camera with the date that showed that there were no scratches before we left. It took them months to fork over the money to fix the problem areas. Poor Customer service as well in general.

My mom used Indoor Park and Ride and said they were great but quite expensive and unless she was being paid for parking there (i.e. company expenses covered) then she would park elsewhere.

We for the last 6 trips have used Executive Valet they are located on Rt. 75 just past the Dairy Cream ice cream stand. Its about 3 minutes to the airport and the service is great. They are the farthest on the road but thats not saying much since it is really only a 3 minute ride. We haven't had any problems using them doesn't mean people don't have problems with them every company has off days but they have been the most consistant for us.
They offer a discount if your a Big Y card holder as well.

The website for executive is www dot executivevalet dot com. i can't seem to get them to let me link websites.

For the big y special its www dot bigy dot com/esc/save_executive.php

If that doesn't work pm me and i'll try to send it to you privately.

If you have any questions please let me know... I know how worrysome it can be to leave your car and not know if something will happen to it.

Have a magical vacation.

We fly out of Bradley and always use Roncari and have never had a problem. They give a AAA discount too! :thumbsup2

Don't use Piccolo AviStar. We had money (that was accidentally left in the car) stolen while parked there. We have since parked in the airport lots and always had good luck. The economy lots are very reasonably priced and the shuttles run very often from the lots to the airport.

I second the vote for Roncari. I fly often and park there every time. They are fast, polite, and I believe they are the closet private parking lot. The onsite parking garage is a nice alternative, but it is more expensive and it's quite possible that on a Friday morning, it will still be full from the business travelers.

Can't say that i have ever had a problem with any of the lots at BDL. If I am traveling alone with my youngest I usually park in the garage(it has never been full) or Lot 1 which is right across the street from the garage. When you pull into lot 1 they dispatch the bus which has always pulled right up to my car and the drivers have been great helping me with my bags, stroller, car seat ect......Same goes for unloading in Lot 1 as well. Good luck and have a wonderful trip :)

3rd vote for Roncari...w/AAA discount I think its about $8.00 a day.

...and the fourth vote for Roncari - will be there this weekend.
I would get to thwe airport before 10 am - we plan to be there 2 hours early - need time for security etc...

We have flown out of BDL lots of times and always leave our car in the long term lot. We use the one that is the farthest from the terminal and have never had to wait more than a few minutes for the shuttle bus to take us to the terminal.

We even always seem to find a coupon for a "free day" of parking by doing a google search. I think we paid less than $60 to park for a week with this a few months ago.

This is a very easy airport to park at.

If you have an early flight, you could also check out the park/fly options there. I think there is a Sheraton that does this and is right at the terminal.

Best of luck.

I always park in the long term lots and have never had a problem. I have done it dozens of times for business and vacation. I agree Bradley is a great airport to fly in/out of.

Yet another Roncari guy. I just got back from a short trip - a friend drove who likes to park in the garage. Maybe the garage is a bit quicker - but once you add in time dring around the ramps getting to a smace, shelping yourself to the game, it just doesn't seem much quicker than Roncari.

We have never had a issue with BDL onsite parking, we have always used the long term lots and the service has been excellent. The bus drivers have helped us with our luggage each time. They usually bring you right to your car when you return.
