We are heading to Disney in a week!!! We are staying offsite the first night and would like to get an early start the next day. We are planning to head to BCV, check-in, and catch the bus from there. If for some reason, we are running behind and we don't want to wait 20 or 30 minutes to check-in (which we have had to do in the past), will they tow our car before we return? Will on-line check-in provide parking passes? Would the guy at the gate give us a pass for the day?

Thanks!

Every time I have stayed there (30) the guard at the gate always has given me my parking pass with my name on it.
If you're running that far behind after you get your parking pass just turn around and drive to the park, it will be faster than parking, walking to the bus stop, possibly waiting for a bus and then the bus ride.

Thanks for the input. We are going to the MK the first day and I figured it would be faster to ride the bus, than deal with parking/trolley/monorail???

We just stayed there and I forgot to put the parking pass in for the 1st three
days and nobody even noticed -and that was spring break time so i would really doubt they would tow your car - by the way check in took us 10 minutes
they might have been ramped up for the busy season but no big deal for us -
have fun -good luck :wizard:

When we stayed there last summer, we were given our parking pass at the gate.

Matter of fact, for all of our Disney stays, we have been given our parking pass at the gate so I think you will be fine!

You will be fine, even without the parking pass, Disney does not tow a lot of cars...unless it is a safety/security issue (abandoned, blocking access, etc). It is bad customer service and can be quite a nightmare when it is just someone that forgot to put up a pass, etc.

Don't go straight to MK, you will have to pay for parking if you haven't checked in and received a parking pass yet.

Thanks for all the replies! I guess I forgot that they give you the parking pass at the gate. I do remember one other time they gave me one at the front desk when my parents arrived later.

We've always got our pass at front desk with shows the date range of our stay.
The pass given to you by the gate is an interim pass or visitors pass and I don't recall that showing the date range of the reservation but maybe my memory isn't accurate.

But I agree that you should be fine with that pass issued by the gate if you don't want to check in prior to heading out to park. If you're concerned have one person check in while everyone else gets head start to park or fold your DVC confirmation letter so just the resort and departure date is showing (one should be printed directly over other) and put that in your car window as well next to parking pass that gate gives you.

Best wishes and have a great time. :goodvibes

The parking pass I have always gotten at the BC guard shack has always been the exact same one they give at the check in counter, with dates and my name on it.
