Parking at a Resort question

We are spending our first night at AsSports before our stay at Bonnet Creek. We have a 10:00am reservation at Whispering Canyon for breakfast. We are planning on checking out of AsSports and driving our rental car to Wilderness Lodge for our reservation and were wondering if we could leave our rental car there for a few hours while we took a Disney bus to MK? Not trying to get out of paying parking, as we are AP holders and get free parking anyway. Just wanted to avoid the TTC/ferry/monorail hassle when we could just get on a Disney bus and get dropped right at MK.

Technically yes. I would assume there's a SLIM chance your car might be towed, but that's the worst case.

Ethically, that's an individual decision. Some people will claim you're tying up a parking spot for a hotel guest. Others will say it's not a problem.

If you want to follow the "rules", the "proper" thing to do would be to pay to valet park.

I guess we could just leave our rental at AsSports and take a bus to HS then another bus to WL. Then we could take the bus to MK no problem. Just seems like a pain.

Or bus to MK and then boat to WL.
Or bus to any park and then bus to WL.
Or cab to WL.

It is a real pain for a guest paying the Wilderness Lodge prices to be unable to park their car at their hotel because it is being used inappropriately for theme park parking.
As you can see I am in the camp of it is not the "right" thing to do. I have been unable to park my car at the deluxe Epcot resorts hotels because of this abuse.
You can Valet park if you want to park there.
Good Luck

From Sports, I would take the bus to AK and then the bus to WL. It's faster than going to Studios or EPCOT.

From the All Stars, you also have the option of taking the BB bus (as long as BB is open) and then taking the WL bus. If the BB bus comes first, take that one, if the AK bus comes first, take that one.

As long as you still have the Sports parking in your window you still are considered onsite for the entire day. We checked out and left our car parked at the Sports all day until we came back from the park the last onsite visit. I asked at the desk and they told me the amenities are good for the entire day, not to check out.

But the OP is asking about going to WL for breakfast on her check out day and then leaving the car there to go to MK. Being a guest at ASSp doesn't entitle you to park at WL to go to a park.

Exactly. The resorts own guests need to be able to park at their home resorts just like the visitors expect to be able to park at their home resorts. It's about giving the courtesy at a resort you are visiting that you'd expect at yours.

So yes, visit the resort for an ADR or just to look around, the lots are designed for that traffic. But don't go to MK or Epcot, the lots aren't designed for that kind of traffic.
