Parking and Park Hopping

Anyone have advice on the best transportation option for starting at animal kingdom and then park hopping to magic kingdom. My 70yo mom who requires a cane can use all the help she can get with conserving some energy for our last day at Disney. Park at AK then get our car and drive to MK? Pay for preferred parking so MK parking isn’t so bad after 2:00? Use the bus from AK to MK and then bus it back to AK after fireworks?

Your question has been moved to the Transportation board.

You will need to take your vehicle with you when you move from AK to MK as there will not be any buses running to AK once the park has been closed for an hour.

There are courtesy wheelchairs available in the MK parking lot to assist you in taking your mom from the parking spot to the TTC.

Have you considered renting a wheelchair or scooter in the parks for her? My mom doesn’t use these at home but requires the use of a scooter at Disney due to the amount of walking required. We rent from an offsite company but that may not be an option that works for you if you are driving your own car unless you rent a collapsible one.

Just trying to think of options that may help you.

What about sending your mom to MK via the bus from AK and just meeting her there? It would conserve her energy and get your car to MK. Another option, drop her off at the TTC drop off and then go back around and park. Even if you park in the preferred lot, it is still a decent walk to security at TTC.

If you get preferred parking, get it at AK. I believe once you get it, it’s good at all parks.
