I have read all threads about ants if you leave food in your car while you are cruising. We are doing the 3 night cruise and then we are going to WDW. I was planning to bring some snacks from home and wanted to leave them in the car while are cruising. Any of the food that I would leave in the car would be unopened in original pkging. Will ants smell this or whatever they do and get into it? I have been thinking about this. We have a specialty store here that I was planning to bring some healthy snacks for myself while we are in the parks. How about if it is unopen and I put it in a ziploc too. Any thoughts???

You will be fine. We drove down to Florida and left our car for a 3 night cruise with food in it. The food was in their original package and no "crawling creatures" seemed interested in what we had!

While ants are a big problem down here in Florida, if you leave the food in it's original and sealed package you will be just fine. I have stuff in my garage with ants right outside and it's fine. Plus, I left a bag of pretzels in my car on both of our last two cruises so we would have items to snack on for the 4 hour drive home afterwards and no problems!

Thanks everyone for your respones. I feel more comfortable now with the thought of leaving food in the car.
