We are going to Disney World for Spring Break. DH and I are in Pop, and DS & family are in SSR. We are going in 1 car. There are times we will want to hang out at SSR and some times Pop. Do we have to pay at both resorts? For instance, I'm inclined to pay at SSR because we will be there the majority of the time, but they may come to Pop to take the skyliner to EP and DHS.

Can’t help with that problem but I would not advise them to drive to Pop to Skyliner to DHS. From Pop/AoA (1 shared station) you go to CBR where you get off and get in the back of the line for either DHS or EP. Absolute waste of precious morning time when they can just take a bus and be done for DHS. A waste of effort to me for EP as well (I left Pop last month at 7:45am for 9:30am EP EE and still had a 20-25 min wait after RAT started running around 9:20, to add a car ride and awkward chat with Pop security entry guard to that would have been too much effort).

The resort parking fee is "per night" and not charged during daytime access. It's based on where the car is parked overnight. I recommend that your party maybe try to keep the car overnight at the same resort, otherwise you will need to check your folio and have it adjusted for the nights the car isn't parked at your resort.

ETA: if it matters -- the nightly parking fee is lower at POP ($15) than SSR ($25)

Thank you! I appreciate the info as I didn't know where the skyliner went, exactly. I guess I need to study more. I guess another consideration is we have a day off, so to speak, with reservations at Beaches and Cream. I was thinking along the lines of hanging at the pool then catching the skyliner to the Beach Club area then back to the resort. We have dining for DS that evening, but the buses don't run resort to resort, do they?

No, no buses run from one resort to another. So Skyliner from Pop to BC would be ideal. Buses run from every resort to and from DS.
