parkhopper tickets ?

please explain the park hopper tickets for example if i have 3 day park hopper
and go to disneyland in the morning and go back to hotel that afternoon and return to disney that night is this one day or two days used up ? confused

3 Day Park Hopper allows you to enter and re-enter both parks for 3 operating days. In other words, you can enjoy both parks for three days no matter how many times you go in and out during those three days.

Park Hoppers just mean that you can "hop" between the two parks, Disneyland and California Adventure, as opposed to their single park tickets, which only allow admission to one of the parks all day. With either ticket you can come and go as you please all day and night, you would just get your hand stamped for re-entry.
