Is this a private pin event or can anyone go? My DS (14) has been collecting and trading for a couple years and would love to meet some other pin traders. We live in MD, so this is close by. Any more info would be much appreciated.

You will have a great time if you go! You'll meet so many great people who are very knowledgeable about pins, including Suzi and Vince. And you will never see another pin palace like it in your lifetime! Parkhopper's Pin Parties are legendary.

Could you refresh my memory on how the mystery trade book works and the specifics of "Bingo"?

Everyone who's planning on driving -
Keep an eye on the weather and road conditions. At this time the entire DC Metro region is under a Winter Storm Watch starting this evening and going through late Friday. Local weather people are calling for a nasty mix on Friday with snow starting about 9pm tonight(Thursday). A measurable snow accumulation is expected before the wintry mix arrived. Conditions are predicted to deteriorate into sleet/freezing rain/icing fairly early tomorrow with general nastiness hanging around for the entire day. "Pin Party Saturday" does look a lot better - sunny with expected highs around 44.

If you do drive, there are two local radio stations that have fairly good traffic/weather updates, WTOP(103.5FM) is the best but there's also WMAL(630AM). If you want to check on road conditions, the following websites might be useful...

Just got home to Ohio. As always a great time was had by all. Looks like there were over 50 people that attended!

It is a sad thing that we won't have that wonderful place to meet. But just have the people together anywhere is a great thing!

Suzi and Vince - Sorry I had to miss it. I spent Fri night in the ER (diagnosed with Severe Tension Migraine) and spent the last 3 days laying in bed!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who joined us for the pin meet and helped to make it a whole lot of fun! This was definitely one of the largest pin meets that we had and it was great to see all of our pin friends from over the years and meet some new pin friends for the first time! We started at 1:00pm on Saturday with a group of traders waiting at the door to come in and didn't shut the doors to leave until 3:00am on Sunday.

Sorry I didn't get to this sooner.
I was going to surprise you and show up. I had all my pins packed and ready.
then the snow came down... and down...
I didn't want to risk the drive with the weather the way it was.
I have always wanted to get to your meets but work, then I got sick. I finally could make it and the weather..
If you have just one more... But do it in the warmer months, I can drive in rain but never in the snow. Peggie

What a wonderful day. It was nice to see old friends and to catch up.

Even for us NON pin people. That's correct. I went without pins. And I had a great time.

Vince and Suzi, thank you for your hospitality. Your collection is wonderful.

To answer the question above about another pin meet. Sad to say that Vince has let us all know that the meet place has been up for sale for a couple of years.

I forgot to thank James D and Linda for the great trivia questions!!! I won...well...I tied with Pirate Steve!!!

Vince & Suzi, I was so sad to have to miss the event. I was not feeling well, and the drive up and back in the same day would not have worked for me. I would have loved to have seen so many of you again.
