Parked Free at Magic Kingdom!

When we drove up to a parking attendant booth at MK one day the week of the 15th of September, we had to wait for the vehicle ahead of us. It was there for a few minutes while the driver talked to the booth attendant. The vehicle then drove off without paying the attendant. My sister was our driver (her DH, my DH and I were passengers) and I handed her the $7.00 to give the parking attendant. The parking attendant didn't take the money but just said "Have fun." My sister just sat there (stunned). Then the parking attendant said, "Have a wonderful day!" as he gestured with his hand for us to drive on. We were ALL stunned but we expressed our thanks. When we recovered from the surprise of not having to pay for parking, we started wondering why we didn't have to pay. Has this happened to anyone else? Just curious. It definitely gave a MAGICAL start to our day!

If you were staying on property and had the parking paper given upon check in laying on your dash board, you do not have to pay to park at the parks

No, we were staying at the CyBM ($20.03 rate).

This happened to us last Jan but we thought that it was because it was sooooo cold that the CM either felt sorry for us or thought that we were nuts to be going to the MK that day. It was a great way to start a very cold morning

Maybe later in the day they stop charging you? i don't know the real answer, b/c I never pay to park.

It could have been pixie dust from the CM or a RAoK. I once had free coffee at work courtesy of a surgeon who paid the cashier for the next 20 coffees that were purchased. It was just a nice thing for him to do that made 20 employees smile. Regardless of the source, consider it a kindness and do something to pass it on.
