Any info on this hotel would be helpful. Some web sites say it is a good neighbor hotel and the official Disney hotel doesn't have it listed as one. It looks nice from the pictures and seems to have a good rating. I like the location and the fact that there is a breakfast offered and drinks offered in the lobby. We are torn between Paradise Pier, Fairfield Inn, and this hotel. Stayed 20yrs ago at the Desert Inn and suites and really liked it but the Park Vue Inn looks good also.

We stayed here our last trip and will be staying again this summer, very clean breakfast is great free parking and u really cant get any closer it has outside corridors and its only 2 levels so there is no elevator but we love it

Dont worry about the "Good neighbor" moniker. It's completely meaningless and gets you nothing.

We have stayed at the PVI many times and have always been happy with it. It's clean and in good shape and has been updated recently. They have a great free breakfast area and we would not hesitate to stay there again.
A good second to this hotel is Best Western Park Place.
Both of these hotels are as close as you can get to the entrance of DLR.

PVI is our go-to motel. We love it. In fact, I felt like a bit of a traitor when we stayed at Tropicana!

Rooms are good-sized, breakfast has hot items, beds are comfy, towels are large and soft. Showers are hot. Pool area is clean. We've always had stellar service. And you literally cannot get closer to the main gates.

It's not a 5-star resort, but for sleeping and showering, it's great!

We stayed their in February and would definitely stay there again. The beds were very comfortable and customer service was excellent. Best Western Park Place Inn just happens to have a better rate for our next trip. I have stayed at Paradise Pier and it was ok, but not worth the extra cost for me.

We are staying at Park Vue right now. All of the above positive comments are spot on. So far so good!

After reading these raves I checked rates for my dates... It's almost exactly twice what I'm paying at Tropicana so I'll stay with what I have for now. In future I'll probably check it too looking for any possibility of a lower rate.

Calling will get you a better rate. Not enough to cut it to Tropicana prices, though! I think I paid about $150 last year for a 2Q room at PVI, and $125 at Tropicana the same season the following year.

Why? What did you say over the phone that lowered the rate? Was it the manager? Just curious.

No idea why the first time it happened, and it was just the person who answered the phone! After that, we got the returning guest discount, which can lower the prices a bit.

PVI has a returning customer discount if you call. We've stayed twice and thought it was very adequate for our needs.

We booked Park Vue for our trip in May. We got a AAA discount $10 off a night not much but every little bit helps. Thanks all for your help.

Staying at Desert Inn which is practically attached to Park Vue, just more stories. I got a $99 a night rate in September. I really liked my stay there last year-- clean, basic, comfy and good service. I asked for and got a top-story room near the front.

I'm contemplating Park Vue as well...and it looks like Desert Inn is right next door. From what i am reading I "feel like" Park Vue is a smidge nicer and better breakfast, but I can get my family of 5 two bathrooms at Desert Inn! Decisions decisions! Anyone wanna confirm or deny my uneducated info?

Just wrote a whole long answer on your other thread.
