Has anyone stayed at the Park Vue Inn recently that can give me some details about the evening social hour, particularly what types of food are served? I know it's not a full dinner, and I'm assuming it's not as extensive as the breakfast buffet, but I'm wondering if it's like cheese and crackers, finger food type things or if there are some more substantial offerings.
Basically I'm wondering how comparable it is to the concierge lounge at Paradise Pier. When we were there in 2007, one night it was mini sliders burgers and I think even fries, one night was some kind of little enchilada rolled up things, one night was like a swedish meatball thing, along with crackers, cheese, veggies, fruit, cookies, etc. Because we are not big eaters in the morning and were more interested in touring the parks in the evening, we would eat the light breakfast in the lounge then get a bigger meal in the parks in the middle of the day and then come back for the light evening meal in the lounge, then maybe buy a treat in the parks later. We ended up spending far less on food that trip than we planned.
I am hoping that the Park Vue is similar. I am not even sure this trip is going to be happening, kind of in the maybe phase right now....but it's been my fantasy to celebrate my 40th at the Happiest Place on Earth! I like the location of the Park Vue and it's rated #3 on TripAdvisor for Anaheim area hotels, no doubt in large part for the location. If the food situation is similar to what we had before at the Paradise Pier concierge, then that will push me a little closer to booking!
