Park Vue Inn Question for those who have stayed or are staying there

Last week I booked our upcoming December trip at Park Vue Inn. I booked via their website as that was the best deal. It stated we would be charged 1 night as confirmation and of course that we could cancel within 48 hours for a full refund. I went ahead and booked got the confirmation e-mail but I have yet to be charged anything. It's been about 8 days. Does anyone know when they will charge me? Should I call? Do they not charge after all? Just curious what everyone has experienced. I used my Debit Visa and they never even ran through a $1.00 verification. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this before?

This has happened to me as well. I booked our december 9 night trip via internet last month and have yet to be charged.

Yeah, they never charged us for the first night until we got there.

I am staying at the Park Vue at the end of September for a week and have had my first nights deposited taken from my Visa Credit Card and a confirmation has been emailed showing the first night being deducted from the total bill. Sometime VISA Debit cards work slightly different to Credit cards, that could be the issue.

I booked in late June for our October trip and have not yet been charged on my credit card. I printed out my confirmation so I know it went through. I'm glad to know it's not out of the ordinary.

They normally don't charge until you get there unless you ask. I asked for my whole trip to be taken out so they went ahead and charged my card for it.

I hope no one minds that I am bumping this I am just curious if anyone who booked recently was charged. I think I will call them this week to make sure our reservations are good especially because now they are fully booked. Thanks all!!

I booked our room for January online and had not been charged. I couldn't find my confirmation and when I called they gave me the confirmation number but also charged my credit card for one night -based rate no taxes.

We will be staying there in a couple of weeks. I haven't noticed any charges on our cc statement, but we stay there every year and haven't had a problem. But it is always a good idea to call and confirm your reservation. I call a day or two ahead before every stay there. I call to confirm the dates we reserved, and also to request a room in the back of the hotel on the second floor. That way we are farthest from the street and have no one stomping around above us. They can't guarantee room placement, but we have always received a room upstairs near the back.

Have a wonderful trip!

We just stayed there last month and were charged for our first (and only) night about 3 days prior to arrival (not sure of the exact number of days but I can look it up).

Last year we were not charged until we arrived, but this year we were charged in advance. My theory was that they charged right after the date for cancelling without a penalty had passed.

I made our January reservation over the phone in early September and the first night fees billed to our cc about 2 weeks later. I received confirmation from the person I talked to over the phone in my email within minutes of talking with him. The amount charged included all the taxes.

I booked for the end of Jan beginning of February about 3 weeks ago. The charge showed up on my VISA statement a few days later. For mine it was strange though because I thought they charged the first night, but it looks like the charge was for the last and most expensive night instead.

Thanks for all the replies. I actually sent them an e-mail to confirm they had all my info correct and got a reply that 1 night was billed and sure enough I see it pending. Makes me feel a little better. Seems like it was for our most expensive night as well.
