I am doing research on hotels for a trip next year with my daughter and family. Can anyone that has stayed at the Park Vue tell me about their breakfast? How early do they start serving and is it crazy busy every morning. A recent hotel review said they did not allow food to be taken back to the room. Is that true?

Hi Sjwillia. I just stayed at the Park Vue last weekend. The breakfast was served from 7 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Now they even serve a light supper as well. I have stayed at the PV many times and they have changed their policy about taking food back to your room. It is true that now they do not allow you to take food back to your room, and they even have a host/hostess at the door. I headed over to the breakfast about 6:45 a.m. The doors were open and the counters were stocked. The selections that morning were; toast, bagels, donuts, waffles, and pancakes, cereal (hot and cold), bacon, cheese omlettes, biscuits and sausage gravy, bananas, apples and oranges, a fruit salad, yogurt, cottage cheese and hard boiled eggs. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juices and milk. There was a huge selection as you can see. The light supper the night I was there was chips with nacho cheese, salsa, soup (chicken noodle and tomato), green salad and potatoe salad. The evening offerings change every night I was told that the enchilada night was the favorite of the staff. As for crazy busy, when I got there I had my choice of seats, however it was raining and the outside seats could not be used and soon people were waiting for tables. At the light supper this was not an issue as the weather was nice so there were plenty of tables and chairs. :tink:

Great info TinkCollector. Thanks so much for the information. It helps a lot.

Tink,
You said they will not let you take food back to your room. How about taking say a doughnut to eat on the walk to the park? Will they allow that? :confused3 Just wondering if it is just that they don't want food in the rooms or that they don't want any food to leave the area period.

When we went in February they would let us take a donut to eat on the way out, but that was about it. (plus they have yummy cookies in the lobby!) I think the idea is they don't want people taking a ton of food out that they aren't intending to eat right away. If they did people could just stock up and use it for lunch etc which isn't what they intend.

When we were there some days it was crazy busy, other days it was easy to get a seat. The days with bad weather make the seating very limited.

We are staying here in December. I certainly hope when its so busy you can not sit down they a least then allow you to bring some breakfast food back to your room!!!! :surfweb:

Do they have a "menu" that you can look at while you're there to decide if you want to be doing the dinner there or making other arrangments if you don't like what they're offering that night?

You can ask the manager who is there to check your meal ticket.
While chatting with him, he did tell us what was the menu for the following day.
