Are there buses that go park to park? or do you need to connect at a Resort?

Looking to go AK to Epcot......

Looking to go MK to Epcot...

We are staying at CBR would taking a bus and then taking the skyliner be faster?

I believe park to park busses were brought back on January 1 when they resumed park hopping. However, I'm unsure if you can use those busses if you do not have a park-hopper ticket (you didn't mention if you did or not).

No. If park-to-park isn't running, you should take a bus to the Boardwalk or Beach Club and walk from there. That would be much quicker than going to CBR and taking the skyliner.

I do not know the definitive answer to that - but I have never heard of any form of Disney transportation being limited to people that have a ticket/ADR/etc. Based on how things have worked in the past, if the bus is going somewhere, then you can absolutely jump on it and go.

Having watched some videos, for park to park transportation you do need to show that you have park hoppers and the park to park transportation starts running just before the time park hopping is allowed (currently 2 PM), no park hopper means they will not let you board. I don't know for certain as I haven't tried in person, just what I have seen others experience.

That's interesting, so they have a CM at every Park to Park bus station checking PH tix or MB's ??

Either that or the bus driver is doing it like they used to check at Downtown Disney sever years to ensure you were a resort guest before allowing you to use the bus, back when room keys were the only option.

I know I did read that on Jan. 1 CMs were checking for PH tickets when guests boarded the park to park buses. I'm hoping they've stopped doing that, because there are many legitimate reasons that someone might be traveling from one park's bus stop to another park's bus stop - e.g. park at TTC, travel to & visit Epcot, return to TTC for dinner at a monorail resort without entering MK, leave TTC for offsite resort.

@goofy4tink, do you know whether a guest still has to have PH ticket to ride buses park to park?

Bringing this back up again because I just read an article about park hopping on the Disney Food Blog, and they had a photo of a bus stop sign that stated very plainly a guest had to have a PH ticket to board a park to park bus. I don't know when the photo was taken, and I'm hoping they've changed that policy for the benefit of guests who have a non-park hopping reason to ride the park to park bus!

I think they’re doing it for those guests who have PH tickets so they don’t have to wait an eternity to get to their next park While seating is limiting due to socially distancing.

When I was Last in the parks (January 9 2021) everyone needed to scan their magic band or park ticket in order to board the bus to the second park. Also its good to note that these buses only start running a little before 2 PM (when you are allowed to start park hopping) so buses would be unavailable before 2 anyway. Also decent lines seem to form to enter the second park right at 2 Pm as well so, it is best to allot time for that as well.

Disney's website still states transportation is available between theme parks. But they may not have updated their info.
