Will be at US/IOA June 1-6(sun-fri) staying at RP with unlimited Ex passes. Can't decide whether to buy 3 day base or park to park tix. We will have one day to relax and go to pool(s). Based on crowds and such what would be the best? Be able to park hop or save a few bucks for something else.

IF...and that's a big IF...Diagon Alley and/or Hogwarts Express is in soft opening phase when you visit, you will need to have park to park access to ride the train. If you aren't going for HP, then just stick with the base tickets.

We spent 3 days at the parks last August with express passes, and we LOVED the flexibility of the park to park tickets. We'd start our day at IoA for early admission, and we'd head to Universal in the evening since it was open a few hours later than IoA. We're planning on the same for May - the parks are just a few minutes' walk apart, so it's really easy to go back and forth as you like. Particularly if you head to City Walk for lunch or dinner in between parks!

I agree!!!!

I found the flexibility of Park to Park tickets to be extremely desirable. Whether or not Diagon Alley is in soft opening or not, the ability to repeat favorites at any time was great. The parks are so close to each other that moving from one to the other is really no different than walking from one part of a single park to another part. Easy Peasy! Considering you are staying onsite, you will have EP and that's really what makes park to park a good option. I don't do it any other way myself.

Two musts for our visit, must stay onsite, and must have park to park. We love having the flexibility of going back and forth.

You could always get the base tickets then upgrade to P2P tickets at the park if you decide that is what you want.

Honestly, we have never visited without the P2P tickets, love the flexibility. And should there be soft openings for DA you would need those.
