Hi there. A couple years ago we were gifted park tickets by a member of management at a Disney hotel after a pretty big mishap on their part. They gave us a claim number to redeem them when we’re ready to use them. They told us fast passes would be preloaded on when they are redeemed as well. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what to expect when we claim them. Are they park hoppers? Are certain rides restricted when it comes to the preloaded fast passes? Thanks!

I'd call and ask. If you give them the claim # the representative can probably answer these questions.

The significance of preloaded fastpasses is that you can book that many in one sitting using your My Disney Experience account or using a park kiosk, as opposed to booking only one at a time and using that one before booking another.

The "preloaded fastpasses" may or may not have restrictions as to what rides you cannot book using them. A CM will tell you.

One significance of the tickets themselves is that they are (usually) single day tickets and cannot be upgraded to have more days. If each family uses one or two of them to finish a vacation of 5 to 10 days the effective value of the tickets may be as low as thirteen dollars per day each.
