Can someone explain how I go about getting park tickets for our October trip. I have our BCV ressies in place for 9 days. What is the ticket discount for DVC? Is it too early to call MS for the tickets? The good news is that DS is 2 when we arrive! He turns three a few days later. Thanks in advance for the help!

There is a DVC discount (10%) only on Ultimate Park Hopper (UPH) passes. These provide admission to all Disney Theme Parks, Water Parks, Pleasure Island and Disney Quest for each day of your stay.

Here is a link to <a href="http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/tickets.htm">WDW Ticket Prices.</a>

These UPH passes (with the DVC discount) can only be purchased at the resort when checking in. There is no advance purchase price- the discount is figured on the gate price.

For discussion of other admission options for WDW, please post on the <a href="http://disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=2">Theme Parks Board</a> here on the DIS.

Enjoy!

Hi,

I thought it was only 10% too!!

The DVC discount on UPH tickets is 10%.

I'm sure Doc's fingers just automatically typed 25% due to all the questions he's recently been answering about the member cash discount on rooms. That one is 25%.

If you are planning to buy UPH (formerly known as the Length of Stay) passes and want the DVC discount, youll have to wait until check in to buy them. You cannot buy UPH tickets for point-paid DVC accomodations in advance. (UPH tickets are tied to the resort and length of stay). The 10% discount is off the gate price.

If you are planning to buy hopper tickets, you can either buy them in advance (and get the advance purchase discount) or at the gate. You can get them in advance at one of the Disney Stores, through the DIS, by calling CRO/WDWTC or online (official Disney website). You might also consider one of the discount ticket brokers - there are several legitimate ticket brokers to choose from. Check out the Theme Parks or Budget Forums for more info on discount tickets.

Enjoy the trip!

If you are going for eight or longer you might want to think about buying an annual pass. The break even point is eight days. If you time it right you could use it next year too. You can also buy them from the Disney Store now but the clock doesn't start until you get to Disney.

My Bad!! :o :o

It is a 10% discount for the UPH. Sorry for the confusion!

I would buy an annual pass too. It gives you an excuse to plan another trip, and you won't even have to pay for the tickets! We plan our vacations annually, but within a few weeks of each other so we can use our annual passes for two trips.

Thanks fo all of the replies! I think I will look into the AP. Oh no DH is going to kill me but.... we will then have no choice but to plan another trip!
