Park tickets

The pro is a cheaper price a UT and their prices include the sales tax.

The cons, none.

I actually got a Travelzoo offer today that seemed a few bucks cheaper for a 5 day park hopper. I didn't check total with shipping & taxes included though.

We are looking to see what the pros and cons of using Undercover Tourist for tickets vs directly from WDW. Thanks for the input.
The only con i can think of is that you need to plan to buy far enough in advance to receive tickets in time to make fast pass selections (60 days on site 30 days offsite)-i know we looked into UT for tickets a couple months ago but since we needed them quickly to make fast passes we would have had to get the 2 day shipping to ensure having our info for fast passes within a few days-so instead i drove 10 min to AAA and got them that day (was a few dollars more than UT but cheaper since I would have needed the 2 day shipping). Disney you can buy them online and they are immediately avail in your account.

I have a unique 1st world ticketing challenge. Here goes... don't hate me... My brother works for Disney so for the last 20 years I've actually only used 13 days of three family members 5 day park hoppers with no exp dates. One was a childs ticket that my 20 year old got converted to an adults for his last day. Very blessed to have been getting in with the cast member benefits.

Now brother has two kids to get in and ex-wife is demanding he save all those passes we used over the years for her, cause she lost the 'spouse' main gate pass. So big sister is pouting cause I see I'm going to have to join the real world and actually BUY my tickets! As DVC I know I can do the season pass... but I live in Colorado and on the off chance I do get comp tickets, that would be a waste. I'd buy another set of the 5 day hoppers without exp dates, but it seems they've smartened up and realized that might not be the best way to make money. After all, it's taken me 20 years to use mine. I've not been able to take advantage of advance FP with the free entrance, but that's a seriously small problem.

I'm guessing the no exp tickets truly ARE a thing of the past? My brother is adjusting to single parenting and I don't want to hassle him to get me cast member discounted tickets at the moment. He keeps forgetting to ask about the no exp tickets. So, in reading this I thought I'd run it by the other experts. Multiple day tickets could also be wasteful if we end up with comps because they expire within 14 days after you use the first one and you can't give them to someone else to use.

If no exp tickets aren't option, ordering online or AAA single day single park or park hoppers seem the safest bet... am I thinking about this correctly? I can buy a single day ticket and it's still no expiration, right and I could order it online at the last minute (say the night before) and link it to get FP?

No expiration tickets are no longer available. My daughter is currently a CP and I am going to have her buy 5 day hoppers before her program ends for our next trip with the kids. It is less expensive than AAA or UT. The 14 day use will not start ticking until you use the ticket. So, if you buy a one day pass and link but don't use it, because you so end up getting a comp ticket, you can keep it for another trip. Not sure if that was the exact question you were looking for an answer too or not.

Sign up for the http://www.mousesavers.com/ newletter that is emailed every month..in the newsletter will be a link for UT tickets where it can save you a few more $$ than going straight through UT. They are great and have been buying our tickets from them for many years.

I don't think most places sell 1 or 2 day tickets. There's no discount so it's better to get them through Disney. I guess in theory, you can stock up on 1d tickets to avoid price increases. And if on any trip you decide to spend more days at the parks, you can "upgrade" your 1day ticket to more days.

When do you know you'll get the comp tickets? After you've gone into the park? and how many days do you typically go? Currently Cheaptickets with Ebates gives me the lowest cost for 5day tickets. You can buy that, link to your MDE and book FP. Once you get to Orlando and receive your comp tickets, go through the gate using your comp tickets rather than the 5day tickets.

Thanks for the confirmations and info. Yeah, I usually don't know until the day before, sometimes that morning if we are going to be able to get comps.
