Is it true... I heard that for 2007, park tickets will no longer be included in the intimate package.

Actually, it's already true for 2006 weddings. So yes, they are no longer including park tickets in the intimate package.

i think they actually stopped that in 2005 cos it wasnt included in my november intimate package.

So if tickets aren't included in the 2006 or 2007 intimate packages, are the rooms still included in the package???

No they are not. All intimate packages are now what were before called "add-ons." You book 4 nights at a Disney Resort, and call with the reservation number to book your intimate.

Do they at least offer a discount on park tickets if you're doing the wedding there?

No discounts on tickets, rooms, or dining with the intimate weddings.

Is that for guests too? I knew park tickets and rooms were not included for the couple, but I didn't know they stopped giving park ticket discounts to guests? For our Intimate in October there were discounts for guests, not for us but we have APs, and one friend was going to take advantage of the discount, she said it would have saved a lot of money. They were coming the day after the wedding for 3 days, but that's about the time Hurricane Wilma was threatening, so they just came for the day.
Interesting, the price stays about the same but they take away stuff :scratchin

no park discounts, no hotel discounts, simply no additional discounts for intimate package :confused3
in a way it's better since you can book any disney hotel you want with possible discount codes. and choose your own park ticket options.

No, the other posters are correct - there are no room nights or tickets included in the Intimate package for 2006. (In case you hadn't heard, the officiant is no longer included either.) In fact, you must book your hotel reservation and have it under deposit with resort reservations before you can book your FTW.

My Disney wedding website does have discounted park tickets, though, just like any other Disney bride - but be aware that the discounts are not large. Basically this year it is a discount on the Park Hopping charge and that is all. You and your guests may find that you do better through your local AAA office or through a ticket agent outside Disney. In some ways, that's a good thing: you now have more options and choices for your Disney ticketing than you did before.

As everyone always says, though: Disney changes things all the time, so the ticketing options that are on my website may be gone by the time your date comes. I know it is frustrating, but until you are closer, it's really tough to know exactly what will happen for your wedding. The very best advice I can give you is to be very flexible.

Good luck!

I just spoke to Amy from WDW weddings and she verified no park tickets, no park ticket discounts, and no resort discounts for guests or couples. Geez, by late 2007 when I get married, it will just be a cake! They're taking everything!

I know

It is a blunt way of posting it, but they really are stripping the whole thing. When I told my family what was included in the package they said.....and......???????

I hate to oppose and I hate saying or admitting this. But add it up.
Limo $540
Bouquet $300
Bouttoniere $12
Site $1200
is a whopping $1782
Then add Photo +++++

It's actually a money saver if you take advantage of it. I'm just thankfull I donot have a minimum of $20g's!

"Bouquet $300
Bouttoniere $12"

never understood why the hell a bouquet costs that much :)

use town cars instead of limo can save money as well.

It can, But the limo is included in the price, town cars are not. My explaination was about the $2450 package. The truth is the package individualized woud be around $3550

ah sorry didn't know you were referring to intimate package...

hehe don't forget to add the 4 day hotels then...which can range from $400~over $2000...
and the $2 champagne they charge you $40 for lol...disney always gets us somehow...always...

OT but I agree with sarah_n_brian2006 that it's not that bad for a Disney Intimate wedding. When we had our Intimate, at least, it was:
Location
Officiant
EM (she really was quite helpful, especially the day of the event, and Rosie too)
Cake
Bouquet and Bout
Champagne
Limo
Photographer
Secret Surprise Gift
DFTW Certificate
12-picture Folio and lo-res CD
Website and Picture Website

I added up what we could have gotten locally for a decent hotel and all that stuff and it would have been right about the same money. But I wanted a Disney Wedding - and I got my dream Disney Wedding :cloud9:

The IW Package is no doubt a good deal for a WDW Wedding. I have observed that they have been taking a lot from the package, and the price remains the same. Then again, things that I have heard that "used to be in the package" could all be heresay. Overall, I am just glad to be having a disney wedding.
