Park Tickets through TA

We booked a resort stay through a TA for the first time to take advantage of their exclusive discount. At the time, I waited to purchase tickets because I wasn't completely sure how many park days we would do. I am now ready to get tickets and was surprised to learn the tickets cost less through the TA compared to doing UT, which is where I had planned to purchase the tickets.

I'm waiting to hear back from the TA, but am wondering if anyone has personal experience purchasing discounted tickets through a TA and whether there should be anything I should be aware of prior to purchasing (limitations to how they can be used, or some other funky thing that might come as an unwelcome surprise).

It would be nice to save the additional money, but it's not worth it if all of a sudden we are unknowingly stuck with tickets that won't work for us.

if it's the TA that I am thinking of (exclusive discount is a clue) these tickets are "convention tickets" and there are restrictions on changes, adding days, upgrading, etc; I would ask about that. if it is this TA we had a package including tickets from them in 2016 and had not problems; linked them in MDE with no issues. The tickets included a free one day pass to a water park which my grand daughters really enjoyed; they had wanted to do a water park in hte past, but I could not justify the cost to do that for one day.

Thank you! I appreciate your insight! I will make sure to ask about any restrictions. I am glad to hear you had no issues linking the tickets and I am assuming that means you were also able to make your fast pass selections without any problems.

We've bought tickets multiple times through the TA who offers 'exclusive discounts'...they cannot be upgraded or changed in any way but they are a good deal if you know your days are set. They do also include an additional 'experience', which can be a water park or mini-golf. We have actually never used that extra experience but it is a perk with these tickets and great idea if you can make the time.

Thank you! I heard back from the TA and was told upgrading from base ticket to hoppers is at the discretion of the cast member, but based on the feedback here, I think we will just decided exactly what we want and then go in it with the assumption no changes can be made.
