Park tickets on DVC stays

This is my first time buying park tickets as a DVC member and not hotel guest and I have no clue what I’m doing.

I bought tickets for a May trip but we decided to make it a resort only stay and will use these tickets to September. Do I need to call and have them adjust the dates of the tickets before I can link them to my September stay? Also, my email confirmation says I need to pick up the tickets with a photo ID at guest relations. When buying a hotel package from Disney the tickets were just loaded to my account and ready to go. If I link my tickets to my dvc stay can I skip this step of going to guest relations? I used to think I was a Disney pro but now I feel like I have no clue what I’m doing in regards to a simple thing like park tickets.

Also, 100% off topic but is it possible to request a high chair for a DVC villa?

Don't know on the high chair but when you say ticket dates do you mean park reservations? Those can be easily changed. You should just need the ticket number to link the tickets to your next stay.

Nope! The actual park tickets. I bought them based on a May arrival date. Looks like tickets are cheaper in September so I shouldn’t owe them any extra money due to the date change.

Sorry, I'm not sure then. We buy FL resident or Military tickets and those are always good during a certain use period.

On the TPAS Ticket sticky, I've read that people can sometimes change the dates via MDE, if the original time period the tickets are valid hasn't expired. Once they've expired, the tickets disappear from MDE and people have to call the Ticketing phone number to change the dates. As you've implied, you won't get a refund if the new tickets cost less. If you have more questions, try posting on that thread. Lots of expertise there, and being a DVC member doesn't change anything regarding tickets not bought as part of a Disney resort package!

If you bought the tickets via Disney, then give ticketing a call and they can get them switched if you don’t have luck via MDE...this assumes you already linked them.

Do I have to go to guest relations to activate tickets in general? Or will they already be on my magic band if I linked them in MDE? I’m confused about that wording on the confirmation.

If they're showing in MDE, then they're linked to your MB and all you need to do is walk up to the turnstiles and scan your MB to enter the parks.

all DVC units have high chairs, the ones like you see at a McDonald's, not a real one with a tray.

They will actually vanish 14 days after the scheduled 1st date of use and then need to be reactivated by a cast member. I had an unused ticket expire like this in January, and had to call to have it reactivated and pay for the difference for our next trip. Given that the OPs tickets are scheduled for May, and still viewable in the app, they can use the change ticket function in the app to select new dates. But it has to be done before the unused tickets expire and vanish from the app.

Yes. I was responding to the question of whether she had to go to GR to activate tickets in general.
