We really don't know the best tickets to get for us. Here is our situation.

DH and I and our DS who will be just over a year old.

We want to be able to park hop just in case our DS can't handle a long day in the park ( plus we plan to take a break half way through the day) and as we are not staying on property it may take a while for us to get to and from.

We need a minimum 6 days pass. We arrive Sept 4th to 18th.

I have an AAA card ( well AA from the UK, but I am told that I will get the same as AAA discounts)

Is it best to get them on the first day, before we travel or at a ticket vendor whilst we are there. We want official tickets.

We think we need a MYW Hopper ticket - Is this the best value for us. Our itinery is spaced out within those two weeks and we are planning to do other non Disney days out too so am not sure if this is the best option.

Your help would be very much appreciated as we are totally confused.

There was a website called (undercovertourist.com) which was stating to have the cheapest tickets but I am VERY dubious about these types of websites just in case they are selling counterfit or used tickets.

Thank you.

I know here at AAA a 10 day park hopper ticket for adults are 275.00, that way you can come and go as much as you want up to 14 days from the first time of use.

We plan on doing this too since my dd is in a wheelchair so we can just take it easy.

AAA rates seem to be the cheapest, I have personally come across here.

The park hopper option is nice, but you don't need a park hopper to leave the park and come back, base tickets allow you to leave the park and return to the same park. From your post, I wasn't sure if you knew that. I personally don't like to hop that much, but some people do. Money was tight when we made our most recent ticket purchase, so we did not get the hopper option. You can add the hopper option within a certain number of days of the first use of your tickets. We have used Undercover Tourist twice now and tons of people on these boards do as well. If you are going to use them and have time, go to www.mousesavers.com and sign up for their newsletter first. On the 15th of each month you will get a newsletter with a link to a better discount on ticket prices through Undercover Tourist that is only available for the newsletter readers. I am weary of most ticket brokers, but I felt confident using UnderCover Tourist because so many people on these boards use them and Mousesavers promotes them. We like to get our tickets ahead of time, so we don't have to worry about the hassle when we get there. Here is a thread just for ticket questions.

I am a die-hard hopper pass kind of gal. I always WANT the option ... just in case. Makes me feel like I am making the most of our trip. With that said, though, as someone pointed out ... you can return to your SAME park if you don't do the hopper.

We didn't use the hopper much this last trip. Think that was because we were traveling with others and the dynamic was different. But, I'll still get them the next time. I absolutely LOVED the hopper option when the girls were little. I do feel it gave us more bang for the buck.

I can't advise you about where/how to purchase. We always purchase from related sites I am more familiar like the info side of this board or mousesavers. I like knowing exactly what I'm getting even if I don't get the cheapest price.

We used undercover tourist, you can go pick them up from the ticket office in Florida or they will post to you

We got a link in the last newsletter for extra discounted tickets, if you PM me with your email address I will forward you the newsletter, I am not allowed to post the link on public forums as per the mousesavers rules

We were just there a few weeks ago.It was our first trip to WDW and I just didnt see a reason paying the extra for a hopper pass. The parks are so big,its hard to see everthing in a day anyways. Also we got our tickets at the super walmart. They were cheaper than the gate and we didnt have to drive all over town looking for some hole in the wall place that sells tickets.

I've used undercover tourist for years. They tend to have the best prices on tickets (I don't know how their prices are if they are sending to the UK). You can also buy them at the gate - but you'll pay about 10% more than buying them through the Disney webiste, which is more expensive than UT.

One thing I forgot to mention...

One reason I like the hopper option ... we always try to go in off or non-peak times. That means not all the parks have longer, later hours. With small children, it wasn't unusual for us to do something early and then rest in the afternoon. By the time we got around in late afternoon, the park we visited earlier in the day might not be far from closing. However, another park ... such as EPCOT ... might have been open later. I'll pay the hopper price every time for that reason ... at least until my children are older and we can do busier times and stay at parks longer.
