Just found an amazing way to save some money on our park tickets. Mods if this is in the wrong place feel free to move. Since we own DVC and don't purchase park tickets in packages through Disney, I am always looking for ways to save money on the largest ticket item for our trips. I stumbled across the Disney Yes Educational Program. You can sign up your kids for awesome educational classes and then purchase discounted park tickets for the whole family!

We are going to Disney World in August with our 4 kids ages 14, 12, 9, & 9. I was planning on buying 6 day MYW park tickets for the kids, and it would have been $940. My husband and I have AP's and don't need tickets.

I signed up the kids for a Disney Yes Educational Program and was able to buy 7 day Premium passes, that include 7 fun visits that can include water park passes, park hopping, water parks, and Disney Quest for $833! It was $194 per 7 day Premium Ticket. Plus we get to do a 3hr class on sound and energy at Magic Kingdom, and we get to go backstage at Haunted Mansion!

If you are looking into buying just tickets this is a gold mine of savings! It would have cost over $1400 for those same tickets! I could have bought tickets for my husband and I too at that price!

Check it out: http://www.disneyyouth.com/individual-enrollment/

If I understand the Youth Program, you must have a group of 10 or more. You said that you have four children. Were you able to get into a program or class with others and did you have to pre register before you filled out the ticket order form?

There is also individual enrollment. You don't have to have a group of 10 to get the savings. Click on the link in my OP and it will take you to the individual enrollment site. Just a caution, you can not upgrade the tickets, add days or make any changes to the tickets. They are valid from 7 days before your class and 7 days after the class.

I'll have to keep these in mind for next year. Our AP's expire in September and we are going back in December, but sadly, the last programs offered at WDW this year are in October.

As long as there is an individual enrollmet class during your visit this is a great idea and from talking with the managers it sounds like a great program. We always do APs for everyon so it does nto work for us (I keep hoping thery will offer an AP rate near the fee for extra classes)

I found out about this a few months back. couldn't take advantage of it though b/c nothing was offered during the weekend we were originally planned to be at WDW. our travel dates changed a little bit so I went back and the nothing was offered for WDW anymore for the month I'd be there. only for Disneyland. so be aware that you'll need to plan in advance. it may not be something you can do at the last minute. it is a great savings though. i hope to take advantage of it next time we go.

This would have been a great cost savings for our Feb 2012 trip...7 grandkids going for the first time, but only 4 of them will be old enough AND I don't see anything offered for our timeframe. Great deal though for anyone who can do it.

I would wait, I am sure they will be coming out with dates for Feb. You can buy the tickets for all immediate family members, not just the ones who can do the class.

amazing!!!! unfortunately they dont have much going for little kids (I have a 3 and 6 year old) but how freaking neat for the right age/location!

Congrats on the great find!

Don't be sad yet!! They just released the Sept and Oct dates about 2 weeks ago so they have yet to release the Nov and Dec dates. I don't know why it takes so long to release them at WDW because DL has had their dates up through the end of the year for quite awhile.

Our friends are going to do this during our Dec trip, they are just waiting for the dates to be released.
