Next year we are going to Disney for three weeks in August, we seem to have everything planned but the stumbling block is park tickets. We have chosen to go for three weeks in an attempt to get as much done as possible, but doubt we'll do it all.

There are 4 of us going mum dad and two kids 14 and 15. The kids want to do the dolphin swim so thats one ticket sorted, but looking at the rest it's all a bit mind blowing. I thought just go for the two 14 day tickets WWD + Universal, start one on the first week and the other on the second but is this just incurring extra expense?

Any tips would be gratefully appreciated. We went to Orlando three years ago for two weeks and had a great time, but other holidays don't compare and it's time to go again.

Hi, :wave2:
we're all going to Discovery Cove ( DH, DM, DD 10, DD 14) on our next trip. With the all-inclusive package you get admission to Seaworld or Busch Gardens or both for 7/14 days as well.

Thanks Gaynor, I didn't realise that so that will help a lot. We didn't get to BG last time but loved Seaworld.

We (me, DH,DD 16 & DS 13) are also going for three weeks (16/12 - 5/1) and encountered the same questions you have. After a lot of thought I went with the following:-

1. 21 day Disney's Ulitmate ticket @ £175pp (this equates to £8.33 per day to have unlimited visits to all the Disney attractions/parks etc)
2. Two Week Universal Holiday Ticket @ £65pp (this gets us into Universal and IOA for a two week period, our first day will be 20/12 which will allow us access until 2/1)
3. Discovery Cove Plus Non Swim x 2 @ £95pp and Discovery Cove swim x 2 @ £155pp (this also gets us into Busch Gardens and Seaworld for a two week period)
4. Dolly Parton Dinner Show @ £18pp

Total ticket costs = £1532 (say it quickly - it doesn't hurt so much!)

Hope this is of help in your planning.

Can I just add that the seven day pass to either BG or SW is included in the normal DC package. You have to pay extra ($30 per person I think I paid for 2006) to 'upgrade' to a fourteen day pass that allows you to visit both BG and SW. This is nevertheless good value even if you only went to BG once.

We bought our DC tickets online directly from them. As for our WDW and US tickets we used Attraction Tickets Direct. The actual tickets (not vouchers) arrived within a week of placing the order together with a free fifteen minute phone card.

If you get the 21 day UK Ultimate Disney tickets bare in mind that the 21 days start from the first day you use them, so if you don't visit WDW until a week into your holiday you may waste some days.

You could also look at the Magic Your Way tickets if you now the number of says you plan to spend in WDW. More details here:

Thanks for the replies, I've tried saying it fast saying 15 hundred, one thousand five and numerous other combinations. But the one I'm sticking with is £2.20 an hour each based on eight hours a day in the parks and to be honest that seems like good value to me.

But I'll also look into the Magic your way tickets.

Thanks again for the replies and good advice

Alan
